Wuerttemberg, Kingdom of Württemberg [Württemberg, Königreich Württemberg] (1806-1918)
From the first of July 1851 Württemberg could issue their own stamps. The first September 1851 joined the German-Austrian Postal Union [Deutsch-Österreichischer Postverein]. In October 1851 appeared first postage stamps of Wurttemberg in face values of 1, 3, 6 and 9 Kreuzer. And in 1952 the next, forming part of the set,  with face value 18 Kreuzer.

Württemberg since 1871 as an autonomous monarchy belonged to the German Reich.
In 1918. Became a parliamentary democracy as the Free People's State of Württemberg [Freier Volksstaat Württemberg]. In the years 1919-1945 was a part of the Weimar Republic.
