Burundi There are 2 products.

The first postage stamps - used in what is now Burundi - were issued during the colonial period: for the German East Africa [Deutsch-Ostafrika] (1885-1919), and then under the authority of Belgium for Ruanda-Urundi (1922-1962).
After gaining independence (1962) initially was used an overprint "Royaume du Burundi" on postage stamps of Ruanda-Urundi, and then were issued their own, with those inscription. Since 1966 postage stamps were issued as "République du Burundi".
