-French Offices in Turkey: Cavalle/ Dedeagh/ Port Lagos/ Vathy There are 7 products.

French post office gained in the nineteenth century concessions of the Ottoman Empire (later Turkey) to conduct mail in theirs cities (now in Greece). They used general French colonies postage stamps [FR: COLONIES POSTES générale, text: REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE - COLONIES POSTES] with overprint of a name of such place like:

Cavalle (Kavala) - French post office opened in 1874, the last French stamp issued in 1912;

Dedeagh (later the city of Alexandroupoli) - French post office since 1874, the last French stamp issued in 1913;

Port Lagos - French post office operated there in the years 1880-1898 and 1880-1898;

Vathy (on the island of Samos) - the first postage stamp for French colonies with this overprint were issued in 1893 and this post office were closed in 1914.

After the closing of these posts postage stamps were published on a place.
