Congo (C. Free State/ Belgian C.) - Democratic Rep.Congo/ Zaire There are 11 products.

Congo - now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. État indépendant du Congo - Congo Free State was a kingdom in central Africa, which has been gave as a private property to the Belgian King Leopold II in 1885 during the Berlin Conference about regulations of colonialism in Africa. In 1908, the King ceded ownership to his state and the country officially became a Belgian colony under the name of the Belgian Congo - Congo Belge.
After gaining independence in 1960 was adopted the name Democratic Republic of the Congo [République démocratique du Congo], only in the years 1971 to 1997 the country was called Zaire.
Unofficial name Congo-Kinshasa is used to distinguish this former Belgian Congo from the former French Congo.
