In Morocco since 1891 were operated the French post offices [les bureaux de poste français au Maroc] - in use were French stamps with overprint of a Spanish currency (centimos).
Since 1912 - the beginning of the French protectorate [protectorate français au Maroc] - France issued stamps labeled "Maroc" (they were also used in Tangier but with the additional name of the city).
In 1956 Morocco gained independence as the Kingdom [Royaume du Maroc] and began to issue their own stamps.

Scans were made at dark background of stamp album to expose perforations of postage stamp. And therefore at a part of an image a foil may be visible.
